Video Contest -- Fantasy Road Trip
Attention audiobook listeners and amateur filmmakers!
Here's a chance to win an 8GB iPod Touch and signed audiobooks from Random House Listening Library. Create a video about favorite characters from any one of these three great YA series: the Gemma Doyle trilogy by Libba Bray, Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan, or the Legend of Beka Cooper series by Tamora Pierce. You must be between the ages of 13-18 and a legal resident of the United States. Upload your video to YouTube by August 17, 2009 to be eligible to win. Trading Card Game Night  -- Cancelled for Summer
For ages 9-16 at the Main Library. 6:00-7:30 p.m. Bring your Yu-Gi-Oh, DuelMasters, Magic, Pokemon, and/or NeoPets decks to challenge other players on the last Tuesday of every month. My Own Cafe -- Be a Library Volunteer Online 
Check out the website by local teens for local teens ages 13-18. Register as a My Own Cafe user. Join the conversation or sign up to moderate a message board. All you need is your library card.
My Own Cafe
is an information and entertainment portal developed by the Southeastern Massachusetts Library System, that offers teens access to library resources, local community information, free downloads of local music, discussion forums, and news about games, sports, entertainment, local and world news.

Find the Young Adult Collection on the top floor of the Main Library. The East and West Branch Libraries also have separate collections for young adults (teens) ages 12-18.
