What is Project Outreach?
Project Outreach delivers books, magazines,
videos, and other library materials to Brockton residents who are physically unable to
access the library building.

Are any library buildings handicapped
accessible?
Yes, all public library buildings are handicapped accessible. The goal of the Outreach program is to serve residents
who are physically unable to leave their homes on a regular basis without
great difficulty.

Must I be permanently disabled to
participate in the program?
Absolutely not. People with temporary
disabilities, such as a broken leg, are welcome to use the service until
they are mobile again.

What types of materials are available to me?
Project Outreach offers homebound residents access to all of the library materials that someone coming
into the library would have access to. Anything that can be checked out of the
library can be delivered to homebound residents, including books, videos,
audio books, and magazines.

How are materials selected?
Materials are selected by the coordinator of
the program based on your preferences. Patrons are also welcome to request
specific titles.

When are the books delivered?
The delivery driver makes book deliveries
Monday thru Thursday, 1 to 3 P.M. Patrons must call a few days in
advance to arrange for
delivery and pick up.

How long can I keep the materials?
Outreach materials can be kept 2-4
weeks. Outreach patrons are responsible for calling to arrange a pick-up
before the date they are due.
